The non-resident fee has been part of our pricing for years, but in 2026 it is now applied consistently across all programs and activities. This approach is common among central Ohio parks and recreation departments and helps ensure fairness, since City of Columbus residents help support facilities and programs through local tax dollars.
A new registration system introduced at the end of 2025 helps us accurately confirm resident and non-resident status based on address information, so fees are applied correctly and consistently.
