Unfortunately, Columbus Recreation and Parks Department does not have the capabilities to conduct prescribed burns as we do not have a burn manager or the equipment needed. When we have done controlled burns at Whetstone Prairie in the past, they have been led by other entities such as MetroParks (in 2024) and the Fire Department (in 2007).
