We are adjusting trash can locations in some parks to improve the efficiency of our trash collection routes and help keep parks clean.
In some areas, cans were located very close together. By removing or relocating a few cans to more strategic locations, staff can spend less time making stops and more time maintaining the parks overall. When making these changes, crews focused on removing cans that were rarely used and keeping or adding cans in areas that regularly fill up.
We understand some visitors are used to cans being in specific locations. We will continue monitoring how the new setup works and will make adjustments if needed. We also appreciate feedback about locations where a trash can may be needed.
